What readers have said…

“Although I have never been behind the scenes in Las Vegas, this book has introduced me to an entirely different world.  The author certainly has a flair for telling the story in a way that entices the reader to want to read more and more.  I felt I was right there with him through it all.  Looking forward to more!”  Norma Martin, Winchester, Virginia.

“It was about 2 years ago when I first read the book written by Ralph Delligatti. Almost from the instant I picked it up I was very intrigued by the writings of his life stories. It only took me 2-3 days to read. I found his experiences from his encounters fascinating. Reading  about the background of his family, to the people he met, and all the events of his life from growing in Vegas was truly amazing. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone, and  I am excited and looking forward to reading it again.” John Surita, Las Vegas, Nevada

“I enjoyed reading “The Last Casino” very much. It held my attention and I couldn’t put it down. When I start reading a book, if I’m not intrigued from the beginning, I usually don’t finish it. This had everything that kept me reading, very exciting. I’d like to read it again.”  Tina Edrington, Las Vegas, Nevada

“When I began reading The Last Casino, I thought it would be nothing more than an interesting story about early Las Vegas. What I found in the first few paragraphs, however, was a story that captured my attention so strongly that I truly had trouble putting it down. We’ve all seen the mob movies about Las Vegas and those make for great entertainment, but The Last Casino held my interest because I knew that this was a true story – these things really happened, and to know that, made me appreciate it much more.  The writing is intriguing and the story is captivating. I would recommend The Last Casino to anyone who is even slightly interested in the behind-the-scenes goings on in the early mob-run Las Vegas.”  Joe Palimeri, Corona, California

“I love visiting Las Vegas, but I never gave a thought to how the casino industry worked – especially “back in the day”.  Reading “The Last Casino” gave me lots of insight as to what life was like in the good old days of Vegas.  Actually, while reading the book, it seems that the good old days were pretty dangerous. I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys Las Vegas crime drama.”  Eydie Stumpf, Corona, California

Few books grab my attention so quickly and hold it throughout, but The Last Casino certainly did! This is a captivating read. Most of us think of Vegas as all glitz and glamour but this book gives insight into what it was like for someone trying to make a career (legally!) in the casino industry and his struggles during the mob-run times… something the average tourist would never think about. The author also has so many interesting anecdotes about the people he met along his journey and he describes the “workings” of the casino in a way that the average reader can easily understand. That’s what makes this book better than others about Vegas. Highly recommended!
